It's been a long time since I've written...

We have been in Colorado for almost 3 years now and the kids have adjusted pretty well to the change. In the past year a lot has happened.  Last January (2018) we went to California for my mom and dad's 80th birthday.  What a drastic change in weather! We left Colorado with the temps being in the 30's and landed in California with the temps being in the 90's at the end of January! This was also the kids first time on an airplane and we were in anxiety city with DJ. He has a great fear of the unknown and was a little apprehensive of this new experience. Now that he has accomplished this, he loves it more than going on road trips. Yvie, on the other hand had no problem and enjoyed the experience.  It was great to see my parents on this momentous occasion and I am blessed that we were there to celebrate.  We had some great Mexican (expensive) food and heard Mariachi music and spent time with the family.  The more time that goes on, the more I realize how much older we are getting and how much little time is left with my parents and everyday is a gift with them.
